Dear Woodbridge Music Club Members,
The 2014-15 season is coming to a close. It has been an exciting season for our club, and we have been fortunate to have had a variety of musical events throughout the year. Our club continues to grow, so please keep spreading the word about our unique organization.
In the past few months, the WMC hosted numerous events. In January, pianist Marianna Prjevalskaya performed at Westminster at Lake Ridge. The Kiki Thomaidis Piano Competition, the WMC Instrumental Competition, and the WMC Vocal Competition were held in mid-March, followed by a Winners’ Recital at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Geoff Crowley, a member of our club, gave a flute recital in March, which was held at Westminster at Lake Ridge. April was a busy month, which featured two Saturday Evening Concerts: the Navy Band Quarter Deck Consort at Westminster at Lake Ridge, and the Composer Members’ Concert at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Lastly, the Senior Scholarship Competition was held on May 4 at St. Paul UMC. (continued) Read More...

Dear WMC Members,
I hope you're all enjoying the Spring so far! We have some exciting performances coming up in the club, and I hope you are able to make it to some of them!
I wanted to let you all know that I will be stepping down as President in June. This has been a very difficult decision for me, since I love the Woodbridge Music Club and all that it does for students and the community. I really enjoyed serving as the VP for 2 years, and I'm happy to be serving as the President right now. However, I underestimated the time that it would take for me to care for my new son, and to continue working full-time. I had hoped to be able to do both of these and still remain as the President of this wonderful organization. However, I am unable to devote the time and energy necessary to continue making this club as excellent as it is.
Therefore, I would like to announce that William Gray has graciously agreed to serve as President from June 2015 to June 2016. As a military musician, he has the musical and leadership skills necessary to ensure that this club continues to be as successful as it is. Some of you may recall that his son performed the cello at the house concert last June. Music is very important to his family, so I know he will be a great asset to the club in regards to programs for young musicians.
Our Vice President position, which has been vacant since Suzan Krannich moved in December, will be filled by Emily Baird. She has already done so much for the club, and I am very grateful to her for agreeing to take on this position. I know she will continue to do wonderful things for the club.
Together with our Treasurer, Zuill Bailey, and our Secretary, Katie Largent, we are so fortunate to have William and Emily lead our great club. I will continue as the President until June, and after I step down, I plan to remain an active member of the club.
The members of this club are what make it so special, and I thank you all for everything you do to ensure that our club continues to thrive. William and Emily, I can't thank you enough.
Sincerely,
Becky Crowley Read More...

Hello WMC members,
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a nice holiday season. The Woodbridge Music Club has many exciting events coming up in the next few months, so please check your yearbook and/or the club's website for details.
As some of you may have heard, our club's Vice President, Suzan Krannich, has resigned her position with the club. She and her husband are in the process of moving to Savannah, so they will no longer be in the DC area. Suzan was a great help to the club in the time that she served as the VP, and she will be greatly missed! As a result of Suzan's resignation, the club is in need of a Vice President. If you are interested, please let me know as soon as you are able. Our club thrives on the help and service of its members, so please consider this opportunity!
