Foreign Exchange Music Students

My name is Diane Latvala and I am the Regional Director for International Experience - USA, a non-profit organization that is looking for host families for high school foreign exchange students. I have lived in Prince William County since 1974 and retired from Potomac Hospital, in Woodbridge, 2 years ago, after serving for 27 years. I have placed and supervised foreign exchange students for the last 8 or 9 years (over 200 of them). I live locally and have a passion for helping these students experience life in the U.S. It's my own little sense of striving for world peace as we show them what this country really is about and learn what their country is about.

I am attaching a flyer of our musicians who would like to continue playing music while in the U.S. I wanted to see if any of you could possibly send out my flyer, or make contact with any potential host families. Information on our program is provided on the flyer and I am available to answer any other questions that may come up.

I have some talented musicians who are academically very strong. I hope that you will consider spreading the word to try to help me find host families for these students. If you know of a family or can suggest other opportunities for me to find host families, please let me know. If there is ever a time that I could talk to the orchestra students, their parents, or have a table with information at an event, please let me know. I would welcome the opportunity.

I appreciate your consideration and time.
