Pianist Position

We are looking for a pianist. We have one service on Sundays at 10:00 am, and we'd like to hold choir rehearsals on Thursdays at 7:30 pm. We would like to pay $175 total per week for the Sunday service and the Thursday rehearsal. We would also like the pianist to play occasionally at special services (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.), and he/she would be compensated for the extra services.

David Salisbury, a WMC member, be performing in a Holiday Concert this Saturday night and Sunday, December 5 and 6 at Hylton Memorial Chapel in Woodbridge with the New Dominion Choraliers and members of the Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra. Performances are at 7:30 and 3:30, respectively. $10 for adults, $5 for students.
On Saturday, Dec 12, he'll be playing with the Quiet Nights Jazz Trio (David on drumset) as part of WMC’s "Christmas Music in Occoquan" concert series. Admission is free.

My name is Diane Latvala and I am the Regional Director for International Experience - USA, a non-profit organization that is looking for host families for high school foreign exchange students. I have lived in Prince William County since 1974 and retired from Potomac Hospital, in Woodbridge, 2 years ago, after serving for 27 years. I have placed and supervised foreign exchange students for the last 8 or 9 years (over 200 of them). I live locally and have a passion for helping these students experience life in the U.S. It's my own little sense of striving for world peace as we show them what this country really is about and learn what their country is about.

It seems there was some confusion about performance mediums for the upcoming house concert on April 25. Everyone is invited to perform no matter what instrument is played. It is great to have variety in a program such as this. The fact that there are 2 grand pianos available simply opens up another option (two-piano music) for performance that is not always available. Sorry for the confusion.
